Party Like A Rock Star on October 27th!

After a year’s hiatus and last fall’s online-only fundraiser, we invite you to join supporters and friends at Vashon Island Pet Protectors biggest fundraising event of the year – The Fur Ball™!! This year’s theme is The Rock ‘n Rolliest. In true pet-lover fashion, auction guests arrive dressed for the occasion, wearing costumes and decorating tables to reflect their interpretation of the theme. Will it be Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix trying their hand at the Cat Box, or a table full of Heart scooping away? Will the Boss, the King or the Stones walk away with all the best Live Auction prizes? The VIPP Fur Ball is truly is one of Vashon’s most celebratory fundraising parties of the year, with 300 guests turning out to support one of our island’s oldest and most beloved non-profits.

Guests will be delighted with the assortment of items up for bid at this year’s auction – fantastic trips to far-off destinations (including Provence and a wine tour in Italy), original art commissioned just for pet enthusiasts, unique treasures from island businesses, hand-crafted jewelry and furniture, gourmet dinner parties, and more.

The Rock ‘n Rolliest Fur Ball Ever will feature a Silent and Live auction along with a variety of games – from Heads and Tails to the Cat Box Super Scoop with prizes galore! Renowned auctioneer Laura Michalek returns to lead the event with the support of Geoff Fletcher, our Master of Ceremonies and VIPP Board President. Dinner service features the wonderful flavors of The Hardware Store Restaurant, and many refreshment options will be on hand as well, including wines from Palouse Winery and Cliff’s Beer – and of course, the evening wouldn’t be complete without a scrumptious Dessert Dash!
